In collaboration with South Lanarkshire Council, fps media delivers the Screen School filmmaking project to primary, secondary and special educational needs schools throughout South Lanarkshire. The Screen School project promotes filmmaking and multimedia among young people and helps develop creative and critical thinking. The model also has clear curricular links such as literacy, numeracy, expressive arts, art & design, personal and social development. Some of the more recent Screen School projects have involved collaborative filmmaking projects with International schools including Tema Secondary School in Ghana and Cleveland High School in Los Angeles.

The glamorous world of showbiz Say cheese! Are you looking at me?

The success of the Screen School model has lead to the development of a Small Rural Screen School and a Summer Screen School .

Small Rural Screen School

This project involves outreach workshops to small rural schools across South Lanarkshire. The project runs for 6 days and involves 5 training sessions followed by a 1 day shoot. By the end of the week the young people have scripted, directed and filmed their own short film. Over the past 5 years fps media has worked with over 20 small rural schools to produce quality, award winning films.

Summer Screen School

Back for 2008. Summer Screen School.

Fancy doing something a bit different during the summer holidays – then why not sign up for Summer Screen School. This exciting film-making opportunity allows you to enter the world of movie making and gives you first hand experience of producing your very own short film.
