Client: Strathclyde Police
Project: ‘Make a Difference’
Overview:
A DVD developed on behalf of Strathclyde Police as part of the Rutherglen and Cambuslang area's ‘One Community’ initiative targeting racial awareness.
fps media worked with senior pupils from Cambuslang and Rutherglen based high schools to produce a DVD examining the prevalent subject of anti social behaviour.
The young people were actively engaged in the whole production of the DVD from scriptwriting the dramas, interviewing members of the public through to directing and editing the documentaries.
During the project participants had the opportunity to learn the various aspects of media production together with the opportunity to examine and discuss the issue of anti social behaviour and and the effects it has on the community as a whole.
The DVD is now used as a peer educational resource in schools, youth organisations as well as to Restorative Justice and other youth related partners.
