Project: ‘Brannock Online’
Overview:
This year long project delivered in collaboration with Bellshill and Mossend YMCA involved a group of young people designing and producing a web site on their local area. The project involved participants learning the various skills involved in video production and new media technology such as web design, digital photography and image manipulation.
The project engaged young people between the ages of 13 to 18 years, helping to inspire creativity and instil confidence with many of the young people gaining a vocational qualification through the programme which will help them in later life.
Working with fps media was great and good for my confidence and I’m now at college studying IT. The best bit was the amount of encouragement and freedom the staff gave us to come up with our own ideas and the support they offered.
