fps media offers customised and flexible training courses to individuals or groups and is available for introductory, intermediate and advanced levels. Training can be delivered on an outreach basis or at our premises and is delivered by industry professionals using the latest in digital media.

In order to assess your training requirements an initial consultation will take place then a programme tailored to suit your specific needs.

Facilitated Projects

This service is most suitable for schools, voluntary and/or community groups who wish to learn video production techniques and post production skills whilst actually producing an end project. This customised option teaches the participants the various aspects of production and post production including scriptiwritng, storyboarding, camera operation, sound, lighting, special effects, directing and non linear editing. Training can also be tailored to incorporate a SQA qualification.

The training will culminate in the production of a professional standard DVD which can be used to promote your group/company or highlight an issue which is important to you. fps media also provides audio visual equipment free of charge for a screening event to premiere your film.

Corporate Training

fps media is experienced in delivering staff training in a number of media related fields including video production, non linear editing, DVD authoring, animation, Adobe Photoshop and web design. Courses can be designed for leisure or alternatively for career advancement with the option of working towards accreditation.

One to One Training

This can be arranged on request and is charged at an hourly rate. All equipment is provided unless the client wishes to train using their own equipment.
