Project: ‘Smile with Confidence’
Overview:
A DVD resource produced as part of an educational pack to be utilised in the classroom setting.
The pack was produced in order to help create a healthy and supportive school environment in terms of nutrition and oral health.
Aimed at secondary school aged children, the DVD combines interviews, cartoons, quizzes, documentaries and the opinions of the young stars of the DVD on oral health and nutrition.
Following NHS Lanarkshire’s evaluation of the resources with pupils and teachers, a revised edition of the DVD was produced which included Audio Visual Description and Subtitles.
The DVD was also adapted for use with pupils that have additional support needs using Makaton signing.
I am really pleased with the finished resources. The DVD looks great and the feedback from teachers on the DVD has been very positive: worth all that hard work by the fps media and the young stars of the DVD.
